This school is located in a new master planned development. Its compact floor plan reflects the interests and requirements brought forth by the diverse and thorough planning committee assembled for this project by the District. The school building consists of 29 standard classrooms, 1 special day classroom, 2 kindergarten classrooms, 1 computer technology classroom and one music classroom. The 3 radiating classroom wings make up the lower middle and upper grade groupings, these wings each contain centralized student/teacher work areas, restrooms and small group instruction areas. The school’s architecture utilizes plaster, channel moldings and concrete masonry to compliments the surrounding master planned community as well as give it an important civic presence. Natural lighting through the use of skylights and clerestory windows was used as a method to reduce energy consumption.
