ABOUT
PA-40 is expected to receive CHPS certification upon completion of construction. Spaces that are included are 18 standard classrooms, 6 science classrooms, 3 computer labs, arts/crafts, music, choral, a fitness center with shower and locker rooms, administration, multipurpose/stage, food service, library/media center and health services. The design is based on a core and cluster type organization system; classrooms are grouped around the media center. The exterior aesthetic carefully blends with the surrounding community and proven energy conservation measures throughout the project. This project is participating in the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) program in order to access additional funding.
